Wear clothes that you can stretch in. Something light and comfortable.
Please no long pants or long sleeved shirts. No beanies, hats or socks. Don't stress over what to wear, after one class you'll figure it out.
Yoga Mat - preferably sticky and not a foam mat. Mats are available for rent or sale at the front desk.
Two Towels - you will use one towel in class. The second towel is for a shower after class. Towels are available for rent or sale at the front desk.
A lock for your locker. Please note: lockers are for day use only.
Water - it is advised that you come hydrated before class. This means that you should hydrate the night before as well as prior to class. Water is available for purchase at the front desk. Please note: No coloured beverages in the yoga studio.
All Classes are 90 minutes.

You do not need to do other classes, yogas or mental preparations prior to attending a Bikram Class. There is a big misconception floating around that Bikram is too difficult for someone who has never done a yoga class before or exercised before. This is not true so come and try it for yourself.
You need to practice in order to figure what works best for you. Bikram says to practice my yoga for 3 months and I will give you a new body, a new life.
Of course it is!!!! Bikram Yoga is for everyone. Don't use the phrase "Real men don't do yoga" because it's not true. It improves, stamina, golf swings, baseball arms, and relationships.
Yes. After 90 minutes you have worked every muscle, organ and joint in the body. It is normal to be exhausted after anything you do for 90 minutes. Generally, as a beginner, you may feel very tired after the first few classes - this is your bodys way of releasing toxins. If you experience a headache, this maybe due to lack of water. Continue to hydrate throughout the rest of day after class to replenish your lost electrolytes.
After a few classes you will be better able to manage your self and your needs. Don't give up after one class.
